When Emerald La Roe ran away 300 years ago, she had not planned to return. However, after repeated dreams from Goddess Morrigan, Emerald finally realizes she has no choice. Emerald not only finds a magical sword waiting for her, but her dead husband also.

It seems Stefan O’ Duff wants’ reconciliation and help to cure the curse they share. Emerald would rather see him dead than be with him again, she has someone else to consider though. Her new love, Maxwell Howard a werewolf, who through sharing blood with Emerald, now faces the same fate as Emerald and Stefan. For the cure to work, Emerald has to put her hatred of Stefan aside and consent to share his bed again.

Can Emerald put 300 years of anger aside to save them or will she sacrifice all their futures and kill him as she swore to do?

Before I could think of a way to explain, the knocking started up again.
“Oh, hang on a minute.” I could hear him moving around the room, before he finally answered the door. “Yeah what’s so urgent?” He sounded upset as I heard the door open.
“I need to change the bandages on her eyes and see how her throat looks this morning, or should I say this afternoon. She also has to drink more of this tea today, about every four hours should do.” I listened to Ruby …

Violet cocked her head at him before saying sarcastically. “Calm down wolf boy, or else I’ll put you outside.”
I sat there stunned before I had to ask finally. “How did you know? Just what do you know about us?”
“Why my dear I have the gift of sight and knowledge, I thought you would have guessed by now. I saw you finally returning home and a wolf was your escort, I have to admit though, I did not expect the wolf to actually be a werewolf. I thought you just …

What I saw lying on the floor stopped me dead in my tracks; there in the middle of the room was my sweet Katie. She was just lying there in something red. I crawled over to her then and saw the horrible gash in her stomach. The red I had seen …

Once that happens, nothing is impossible.

Excerpt

This was a cleansing place, a place to refill an empty soul. Aine and I were not the only ones to be content and amazed. Kyle’s breath quickened, while Jack thanked the Goddess for nature’s perfect gift. I understood Kyle’s revelation. This was where I would receive my gift. I also understood Jack’s need to praise the Goddess, for surely her presence was still here, stronger than ever.

Bells chimed a tender whisper on the wind.

“Come to me, Queen Shayla. Come and receive what I have waited so long to give.”

“We need to cross the lake now; she is waiting for me.”

I pointed to the small, white boat at the edge of the lake. No one questioned its remarkable presence, or my request. They only did as I asked. I climbed in, and once we were seated, Kyle began rowing our way across. I hoped he …

 5 Stars!

Boy meets girl.
Author Charlotte Forsythe is determined not to be a victim again. Her Great Dane, Finn, makes sure of it. While vacationing with Finn in San Diego, Charlotte meets Navy SEAL Eric Outerbach. It doesn’t go well. Eric begs forgiveness.
Boy and girl become friends.
They make a long distance friendship work through texts and phone calls. The film rights to two of Charlotte’s books are sold and she heads back out to California to supervise the conversion of written content to the silver screen. And the friendship’s not so long distance after all.
Boy and girl fall in love.
How could she not fall in love with a handsome, sexy warrior like Eric? How could he not love a woman as gentle and forgiving as Charlotte?
A guardian’s duty ends.
Finn is mighty, but old. It’s time to pass on the duties of love and protection to someone else.

Review

An Emotional Rollercoaster!

I absolutely loved The Mighty Finn! I had to stop and wipe my tears more than once. I found myself laughing, cheering the characters equally amazed with Charlotte’s resolve. Eric is a dream character that steals your heart. The real hero though is definitely Finn!

I absolutely love Holly Bargo’s ability to carry you away into each story she writes.

A fan for life,

Dee
